The Second Church in Newton

The Toddler Groups: There are two groups of two-year-olds (up to nine children in each group).  One group meets on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon and another group meets on Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.

The Three and Four-Year Old Groups: There are two groups of three-year-olds and four-year-olds and the groups meet Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.  We make every effort to balance the class by girls and boys.

The Early Birds: We offer an Early Birds Program every morning, Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 9:00 a.m. for ALL age groups.  This is an optional program available on a daily basis, at an additional fee.  No contract is necessary.

The Extended Afternoons: We offer an Extended Program (referred to as “Lunching”) every afternoon, Monday through Friday, from 12:00 noon until 3:30 p.m. with the option on Tuesday afternoon until 1:30 p.m. OR 3:30 p.m.  This program is available to those children who have reached two years and nine months of age.  This, too, is an optional program available on a daily basis, at an additional fee.  No contract is necessary.

The Intersession: Our Intersession Program is offered for those children in the three and four-year-old classes and runs for three weeks after the regular nursery school session closes on the Friday after Memorial Day.  This program is on a first-come, first-served basis.  Early Birds and Extended Afternoons continue as usual during this session.

The Summer Session: Our Summer Session is offered for six weeks (end of June to the first Friday in August), Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to noon.  We also offer extended afternoons on Wednesday until 3:00 p.m.  This session is on a first-come, first-served basis with priority given to those children who sign up for the full six-week period.  The atmosphere of the Summer Session is very relaxed and involves fewer routines and more outside time.
